ROSS ANNOUNCES HR DAUGHTER'S ENGAGEMENT Here's to the bride and groom to be, happy and smiling and fair; And here's to those who would like to be. This with numbers of other appropriate toasts, was given to the health and happiness of Alice Morene Ross, whose engagement to Dr. A. M. Jacobsen was announced Wednesday evening at the home of her mother, Mrs. M. L. Ross, in a very unique and attractive manner. When the guests had assembled, Miss Ross pulled a long pink ribbon attached to a pink and white basket hung in the doorway, with the result that dainty pink hearts fell like rose petals to the floor, and with the names of the couple written upon them disclosed the happy secret. Refreshments, cleverly carrying out the color scheme, were served from the dining room. Pink and white streamers hung from above, forming a canopy over the kewpie bride and groom, arranged as a table centerpiece in a bed of pink and white flowers. Miss Ross has been a resident of Blackfoot something less than a year, but her charming personality and happy disposition have won for her many friends, who are wishing her life's happiness and success. Dr. Jacobsen is a prominent dentist in Pocatello, an active Elk, secretary of the state dental board and a man to be respected and admired wherever he goes. Those present were Misses Rogers, Gallagan, Bingham, Quantrell, Genevieve and Marie Millick, Thompson, Peck, and Hoover, and Mrs. E. A. Johnson, Mrs R. K. Patterson of Pocatello, and Mrs. Ross. -- The Idaho Republican.
