Welch left on the eastbound for Blackfoot, where he goes to start work on his placer mine. Mr. Welch has worked this mine for the past 15 years with good success every year. S. N. Jefferson and wife of Mann's Creek were visiting here today. Payette's town election is still in the box and will remain there until Monday evening. Irving Thurston, who has been attending the Denver university, is at home to spend a week's vacation with his parents. C. E. Brainard left on No. 6 for the east to arrange with sugar beet growers to put in 1000 acres of beets on the bench.
