One man lost five head, and a number of colts can not be found. The wool haulers and camp traders are obliged to keep a night watch on their work horses. Should any of the rustlers be caught a winchester will be used. The Ladies' Aid society of the Presbyterian church gave an elecutionary entertainment in their church last evening, in which the Misses Mac Donald, Weldnen, Driscoll, Williams and Ireton contested for prises. Miss Laura Mac Donald won the first prize, a silver medal; Miss Lena Driscoll, second, a book of poems. William Wilburn offers $?0 reward to know who cut off part of the left ear of one of his driving horses. C. B. Cox, Professor Tracy and the Misses Johnson and Ewing left this morning for a day's fishing. David and M. Niswander, J. J. Pletcher, G. A. Schwal, M. C. Bassinger, A. J. Schrock, William F. and C. G. Myers and J. K. Montgomery have purchased small tracts of land this week and will bring their families here soon. James McIntire, who has been at Burns, Ore., doing contract work since last fall, returned this morning. M. W. Gipe left for Waterloo, Iowa, last evening. He goes to sell his property and return as soon as he can. F. A. Smith has moved his tin shop back 60 feet and will build a new concrete addition 30x60 feet. Mrs. Lex Jackson, Who went to visit her parents near Caldwell two weeks ago, is reported sick. Her husband was called to her bedside this afternoon.
