J. W. McDaniel and William Brother of Murphyboro, Ill., and A. E. Wood of this place, started for Long Valley yesterday. Misses Forbes and Washburn will leave in the morning for a few weeks outing on Squaw creek. Mrs. E. Zimmerman has gone to Mountainhome to visit her parents. Peter Pence went to Weiser today. Sixteen men from Payette have made location of placer ground on the east side of Snake river in Canyon county and more will locate before the week is out. Thirty four young folks passed a very pleasant evening at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. James Herrington (two miles out of town) Tuesday evening. W. H. Washburn has moved his family into their new residence just completed, on Boise street and Grand avenue. The Payette dramatic club has just made the St. James church a present of (unreadable). James Welch, Jr., has gone to Omaha with a care of horses. W. C. Johnson is in from his ranch. C. E. Brainard is back from Ogden.
