One span sold for $125. One horse brought $65. F.S. Stevens and wife arrived this morning from Nebraska. Mr. Stevens recently bought the Payette Valley Mercantile company's store at New Plymouth and will conduct a general mercantile business. Joe M. Reed and son of Drybuck are here to attend the horse sale. Mr. Reed is an old-timer of this valley and has many friends here, yet he says that he is almost lost among so many strangers. N. Draper has bought the Frank Graham place north of town consisting of 2 1/2 acres of land and a small box house, for $750. M. Zeller will open a jewelry store in a few days in the room vacated by Emil Carlson on Boise street. Bishop Funsten of Boise arrived on No 5. J. M. Cosmos went to Boise on No 6 to have his eyes treated. The ladies of the Presbyterian church held a social in the city hall today just for children.
