FRUITLAND MAY GET CREAMERY
 
Meeting Held At Payette Takes Initial Steps In The Matter
 
A meeting was held in Payette last Saturday under the auspices of the local 
grange for the purpose of taking initial steps toward the establishing of a 
cooperative creamery at some place in the Payette valley.  It was suggested 
that the creamery be located between Payette and New Plymouth, which would 
naturally be Fruitland.  More than 100 farmers were present and a great deal 
of interest is being shown.  G. E. Frevert, of the agricultural department, 
was present and addressed the meeting.  A committee of fourteen farmers and 
business men from Fruitland, New Plymouth and Payette was appointed to make 
further investigations as to the number of cows in the valley, etc., and will 
report at a meeting which is to be held in Payette next Saturday.
