Given Kitchen Shower.

The home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Crowther on Ada avenue was the scene of a merry 
gathering Wednesday evening in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Crighton, on which 
occasion they were given a “kitchen shower” by a number of their friends.  
After the kitchen ware had been showered upon the happy couple, Mr. Crighton 
responded with his customary brilliancy in a neat speech.  The guests were then 
handed slips of paper on which to give the advice to the newly married couple, 
the ladies to the bridegroom and the gentleman the bride.  When read to the 
guests, the papers proved very amusing in a number of instances.  Refreshments 
were then served after which music was enjoyed.
