The new church building is plastered. The plastering is a splendid piece of work done by C. M. Newton, who spent 16 years in the service of the state of Iowa as plasterer. The carpenters are at work this week on the interior finishing. It is expected that we shall have an opening service at an early date and begin using the building before it is completed. Rev. W. H. Bowler of Shoshone was a visitor at the Baptist parsonage one day last week and also preached for us on Sunday morning in Payette, in the afternoon at Pleasant View and in the evening for Pastor Spight at Ontario. The Ontario Baptists begun services in their new building on the last Sunday in April. They will have a neat and beautiful house of worship when it is completed. The Baptist people in Payette are still soliciting funds with which to complete their house of worship. Those wishing to help further may bring their offerings to the pastor. The usual Sunday morning services will be held at the Armory next Sunday at 11 a.m., Sunday school at 10. A kindly invitation to all.
