J. M. Swanson & Son Has Big Sale
 
The big stock sale conducted by Swanson and Son last Saturday at the Stevens 
ranch on Washoe Bottom was a record breaker for prices and quick work.  The 
first hour after the sale began over $9,000 worth of stock was sold.  There 
was strong competitive bidding among the buyers.  Several stock men from 
Brogan and Ironside, Oregon, were there, also A. McWilliams and Geo. Scott and 
W. A. Counganour (sb Coughanour) and the prices soon went to their full 
value.  There was no by bidding and the entire bunch was soon sold at good 
prices.
