J. A. Lauer is having the frame building on the north side of his brick corner on Boise and Main streets torn down and will construct a substantial brick in its place. At the same time N. A. Jacobsen will put up a brick on his lot joining Mr. Lauer’s new brick, making together a 60-foot front in the new block. The building will only be raised one story at the present, owing to the lack of sufficient brick for another, but will be constructed with heavy walls and foundation with the intention of adding a second story next spring. There will be large arch ways so that the three rooms may be used as one establishment, making altogether 90x100 feet floor space. Mr. Lauer will have his drygoods in one department and groceries in another while Milt Lauer will occupy the third with his furniture stock.
