T. Byram's Residence and Contents, Valued at $1800, Totally Destroyed Tuesday Evening - No Insurance Fire destroyed Mrs. J. T. Byram's residence in Washoe Tuesday evening, together with all its contents, causing a loss estimated at about $1,800, no part of which was covered by insurance. Among other things destroyed by the flames were a piano and some other furniture belonging to Mrs. Frances Russell, Mrs. Byram's sister. Mrs. Byram was not at home at the time the fire broke out and the cause of it is not known for certain, but it is thought possible that a lighted match might have been dropped on the floor by one of her little nephews, who was staying at the home of his grandparents nearby and had gone over to the house a short time before to get his hat. Mrs. Byram's children were the first to notice the smoke coming from the house and at once gave the alarm but the flames were so far advanced by this time that it was impossible to save the structure or its contents.
