The Noble Extension Ditch Being Pushed Along Rapidly. The Noble Extension Ditch Company, limited, is a Payette Valley enterprise that hasn’t made very much noise but is doing business all the same with a vengeance. The company was recently encorporated under the state laws with a capital stock of $30,000, or 6000 shares, limited to $5 per share. Each share represents an inch of water. All of the stock but about 400 shares has been subscribed for. The ditch will be 22 miles in length, 20 feet wide on the bottom and two feet deep. There will not be a flume on the entire system. The new ditch is intended to furnish waster for not less than 6000 acres of as fine farming and fruit lands as there are on the bench and will be operated and managed similar to the Lower Payette Ditch. The board of trustees for the first year are: B. F. Bartch, president; M. B. Sherman, secretary; W. A. Coughanour, treasurer; Scott Stuart and Mrs. Hattie Noble. At the present writing from 60 to 75 teams are at work on the upper end of the ditch, and it is proposed to have it ready to turn the water in next spring.
