Following the cablegram she received last Thursday morning from her son, Lt. Jack Abbott informing her of his liberation from a German prison camp, she received a letter directly from him yesterday afternoon. The letter was written in a Paris hospital May 17 and came thru in six days. It said among other things that he had been liberated April 29; that he was catching up on eating, taking shots and expected to have a physical check up soon. He also said the out of the dozens of letters she had written him he had received only those dated between Nov. 20 and Nov. 28 last year.
