The New Plymouth Commercial Club which came into existence last Tuesday 
evening at the conclusion of the railroad meeting is  officered as follows:  
President, Walter Burke; vice-president, C. S. French; secretary, George 
Ackerman; treasurer, L. Wachter; members executive board; J. B. Fisher, W. S. 
Hinchliff, J. W. Lynch.  It was a very judicious move to have this 
organization formed at this time.  Matters of public importance will come up 
many times during  the coming year which will demand prompt and concerted 
action and with a regular organization, well officered, these matters will be 
handled in the best possible manner.  In this way no opportunities for the 
improvement of our town and country will be allowed to slip.
