NEW PLYMOUTH BOOMING
 
Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Shaw of New Plymouth spend Saturday and Sunday with 
relatives in the city.  Mr. Shaw was very enthusiastic over the present 
outlook in his locality and stated that the large number of easterners now 
arriving and settling in and around New Plymouth was assuring for that place a 
rapid and permanent growth very gratifying to the pioneers, who have looked 
forward to this state of prosperity for a number of years.  The new public 
buildings recently completed have given a much  more inviting aspect to the 
newcomer, and will aid materially in increasing the population.
