Scott Brundage and Mrs. Ada Rieger were married last evening at the residence of Mrs. T. J. Bradt on Ada avenue by the Rev. E. C. Evans. Dell Keyes acted as best man and Miss Lillie Jacobsen as bridesmaid. Born, Aug. 8, to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Satoris, a son. W. H. Pratt and family and I. R. Woodward and mother have returned from a month's outing on Mann's creek. Mrs. Hattie Taylor of Weiser and Miss Lucy Case of Boise are visiting friends here this week. Mrs. Ralph Waites of Meridian and Miss Gertrude Ransom of Boise are visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. W. Ransom of this city. Mrs. Henry Irvin has gone to Seaside, Ore., where she will join Mrs. Grant Whitney, who will make an extended visit at that and other coast points before returning. P. H. Brown, chairman of the committee appointed to solicit subscriptions for a dryer, has just received a letter from W. K. Allen which says that he is unable to secure material for another small dryer and if the fruit growers want the $10,000 dryer they will have to double their subscription by the 9th inst. This demand will leave Payette without a dryer this season. Ira W. Kenward of Provo, Utah, is here today looking over the city, and he may locate. He is one of Provo's prominent attorneys. Benjamin Irvine and mother of Broken Bow, Neb., who have been visiting here for several days, have gone to the coast and will visit a number of coast points before returning. G. W. Long is building a residence on the west side. J. W. Prestel & Sons log drive is hung up several miles below Emmett and no lumber will be sawed September 1, but the mill is being built. The Payette Flour Milling company have the tall race well on the frame for the wheel will soon be put in. The Ministerial association of Payette is protesting against another saloon being started here in the following: "Resolved, that as ministers of the gospel, pastors of churches and teachers of morality, we put ourselves on record as being absolutely opposed to the saloon business in every form and especially deplore and protest against the of another such place in Payette."
