New Supply Ditch.

The directors of the Lower Payette Ditch company held a meeting at the office 
of the secretary of the company in Payette Saturday at which arrangements were 
completed for cutting a supply ditch through Fred Taylor’s ranch eight or nine 
miles above Payette.

This new supply ditch will secure a permanent supply of water for the Lower 
Payette ditch at all times during the dry season when the Payette river is at 
it’s lowest stage.  Heretofore it has been necessary to put temporary dams in 
the river at the head of the ditch when the water was low.
