J. R. Jacobs, who has been sick at the Gilmore hotel, is not better and is not expected to live long. Seth L. Roberts and wife, accompanied by Miss Edith George, all of Weiser, are the guests of Frank Creighton today. Mr. Roberts holds a very important position with the Pacific and Idaho Northern treasury department at Weiser. Peter Hanson, a former resident of this place but who now has a home near Vale, Ore., is spending a few days with friends here. Mr. Hanson is on his return from Huntington, where he went to visit his son Stein, who had his right arm blown off on New Year's Day at Mineral by an explosion of dynamite. J. F. Albee, an emigrant agent from Iowa, came in last evening to make arrangements for 15 or 20 people who will be here in a day or so. Charles Gilmore and wife are visiting for a few days at Boise. J. B. Brown is another immigrant agent from Minnesota looking for a large tract of land on which to locate a colony. Mrs. Emma Hamilton returned last evening to Silver City. A. B. Anderson, mayor of Weiser, is a Payette visitor today.
