N. Maw, late of Ogden, Utah, commenced this morning to erect a large building to be used as a general planing mill. Machinery, with a 20-horse power gasoline engine is on the road and will arrive soon. The plant, Mr. Maw says will require an outlay of nearly $4000 and will be running full by early spring. John E. Scott of Olds Ferry is the guest of friends here this week. He is assisting Mr. Maples at the creamery plant. Mrs. Daniel Wentman is visiting friends here for a few days. Amos Phillips has commenced the erection of two dwellings west of the depot, one for his own use and one for rent. Tim Driscoll and wife, Walter Gorrie and the Misses Elsie Hinze and May Sisson went to Weiser this afternoon. Miss May Sisson of Ontario was visiting friends here today. Mrs. Lew Adam of Ontario came over this afternoon for a short visit with friends. Some one stole, a quarter of beef from H. H. McMannis last night.
