A. Conhanour (Coughanour) gave a very delightful card party. Twenty of their friends were present. Miss Alta Stroup won first ladies prize and J. A Lauer the gentlemen's. At a well attended meeting of stock-holders of the farmer's Co-operative Ditch company, held today in Laurine's hall a proposition was made by a. W. Rorris to excavate a ditch to replace the flume at Wilson's and Potter's points, also at Grave yard gulch for 13 cents per yard. The engineer's report showed that it would require moving less than 50,000 yards of dirt in all. Mr. Ferris also agreed to test the new ditch for a period of 30 days and stated that work could be commenced at once. A. W. Faris, J. E. Schmelzel, E. W. Pierce, J. H. Richards are pilgrims from Boise here today. H. A. Pugh one of Emmett's business men is a visitor. H. W. Brown and B. McCoy came up from Salt Lake with C. E. Brainard and are looking over our valley.
