Rose St.Clair of Moscow, one of the teachers in the University, came last evening and will visit with her aunt, Mrs. W. W. Paine of Washoe for several weeks. Mrs. W. L. Willson went to Caldwell on No 6. Nephi Pursell and wife of Dead Man hot springs are calling on old friends here today. L. N. Rohn and wife left on this morning train for Portland. Two cars of melons were shipped from Crystal today and one from here. Only 160 crates of cantaloupes were shipped yesterday. Peter Pence has commenced to build a small house for rent on the corner of Payette avenue and Park street. Dr. G. A. Payne, John Babcock, William Shelby and G. W. Lyell, with half a dozen fox hounds, passed through Payette last evening for the Salmon river country to hunt and fish. Miss Nina Pitzer, who has been visiting at Ackerman of Washoe, went on the evening train to Omaha.
