Harader and Morton have just returned from a 10- day visit to coast towns, where they went to secure wheat and machinery for the flour mill. The gentlemen succeeded in getting both and will soon open a flour and feed store. E. M. Franklin has just unloaded a car of household goods which he shipped from Devil Lake, N. D. Mr. Franklin recently bought the Mrs. J. M. Bennett place northwest of town. William Nordmieir, after purchasing 80 acres of land on the bench south of town, went back yesterday to Minneapolis for his family and will soon return to Payette. Bert Gilmore came home from Butte, Mont. a few days ago and will remain until after the holidays. Mrs. O. W. Athey and daughter of Boise, came down on No 5 Sunday, which did not get here until 11 o'clock. Her father, C. Q. Haines, came in to meet her and was obliged to remain over night,as it was too dark and rainy to drive out.
