The second part of the program, "The turn of the Tide," a drama in three acts, was especially good. The Afternoon Whist club was entertained Tuesday by Mrs. J. J. Tool at her very pleasant home north of town. Mrs. B. P. Shawhan won first and Mrs. Albert Wilson the consolation prize. Mrs. Henry Sommercamp of Weiser and Mrs. W. R. Hamilton of Silver city were the club's guests on this occasion. Mr. and Mrs. E. Zimmerman entertained a few friends Tuesday evening in honor of Misses Ewing and Holmes. F. W. Herline has leased the meat market from Mr. Henrichson and will take charge the first of June.
