Someone stole the stay-chains off a new wagon belonging to Dan Coats a few 
nights since, at Jacob Windle’s place on Washoe bottom.  Petty thieving is 
getting to be a little too common in this vicinity; it looks like somebody 
would have to be crippled before it is stopped.
