The children’s voting contest, including only those under seven years of age, which closed Saturday night with the closing performance of the Quaker Medicine Co.’s sojourn in Payette, created considerable interest and a large vote was run up. Voting tickets were given at the door with the admission and tickets were also given with the medicine purchased. The highest number of votes received by any of the children was 6078, which was nearly double the cast for any other, and was awarded to the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Pierce. The prize received was a silver tea set.
