PLAN TO ERECT NEW SCHOOL BUILDING
 
Architect Here From Butte, Montana, And Submits His Plans
 
C. L. Wilson, of Butte, Montana, who is at present furnishing plans and 
specifications for other nearby Idaho points, spent Tuesday in Fruitland.  
Learning that a new high school building was being contemplated at this place 
he met with several members of the school board and submitted informal plans 
and gave other information regarding the proposed building.
 
Mr. Wilson was inclined to the belief, owing to our natural facilities, that a 
concrete structure would be more feasible, stating that it would not only be 
cheaper, but much more durable.  As has been outlined heretofore by the school 
board, he proposed the unit system plan, which would give ample room for 
present needs and could be added to advantageously as conditions demanded.
 
The plans talked over would, in addition, include an auditorium, manual 
training and domestic science rooms as well as a gymnasium.
 
While Mr. Wilson's visit here was on his own initiative it has been known for 
some time that a new building was being considered by the board.
 
The present building (unreadable) to almost double its capacity and outside 
buildings are being used for some of the departments.
 
At present the school board is considering the advisability of calling a bond 
election to be held some time in April when this matter will be definitely 
decided.
