Our farmers are enthusiastic over the beet sugar factory. Rev. J. D. Bird preached in the place of Rev. Jones last Sunday afternoon. Mr. Phillip Goodwin came up from Payette to attend the Patheal-Applegate party. Martin Barney and Clyde Harry were recently on the sick list, but are out with the other boys now. Once more we are treated to some fine winter weather, moonlight nights and skating. This is a very pleasant surprise, as all were of the opinion that we would have to wait until next winter for more ice. Unless contrary notice is given there will be a Christian Endeavor box social at the Central school, Friday, February 24. Every girl is expected to bring a box of lunch and the boys will do their part. The valentine party given by Miss Florence Patheal and Miss Nellie Applegate was a very enjoyable affair. Over thirty of the forty invited guests were present and had a splendid time. Various games suitable to the occasion were indulged in, and during the evening bountiful refreshments were served.
