W. G. Whitney is shipping hay to Seaside, Oregon and getting $15 a ton. Carl Warner has his neighbors busy hauling his hay to town. They carry two tons to the load. Grace Mead now has the whooping cough and has been taken to Payette for special treatment. The street running east and west, one mile north of Central school-house, has been named Minnesota street. Mr. Slack and Charley Boor are baling their hay and hauling it to Payette. They get $6 per ton on board the cars there. Mr. McVety visited with Mr. Haynes folks this week. Mr. McVety has quit Portland and will now operate a lineo-type machine at Boise. The Christian Endeavor social has been postponed one evening to Saturday, the 25. This is to allow the young folks a chance to see J. Frank Fouche at Payette.
