C. E. business meeting will be held Saturday evening, March 11, at the school- house. The Ladies Aid Society met at the home of Mrs. Flack on Wednesday. The ladies are busy perfecting plans for next year. An informal gathering of young people was held Friday evening at the home of Miss Holl, who with Miss Barney gave those present a happy evening. Mrs. James Barnard has been very ill with pneumonia, requiring nurse and the services of a physician. The last report was that Mrs. Barnard was improving. Miss Grace Haines departed this country last Saturday, and has not been heard from or seen since. We are anxiously awaiting for news from Boise, where she might be found. Mr. Martin Barney and sister, Miss Emma, were introducing their friends, Messrs. Nelson and Watson, of Albion, Nebraska, to Pleasant View young people last Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Mead wish to tender their sincere thanks to their friends who showed their sympathy and were so kind during their recent sickness and bereavement. Mr. Malcom Hezeltine brought his cousin, Mrs. Kizer and children out on the bench last Saturday. Mrs. Kizer is a resident of Meadows, Idaho her husband being in the mercantile business at that place. Mrs. Elsie Hoel, one of our sweetest and most beloved neighbors, laid at death's door last Friday afternoon, causing the greatest anxiety to her friends. But the dread pneumonia was worsted, and since the crisis a rapid improvement has been going on. As a token of their regret at the departure of the Warner and Anderson families for Eugene, Oregon, the young people gathered on Monday evening at Mrs. Warner's residence. Although going through the process of packing, Mrs. Anderson met the occasion well and proved a charming hostess.
