The young people met at the home of Miss Holl, Wednesday evening to practice Easter music and to make other arrangements for this Friday evening. Anyone who could not sleep Monday night could have interested himself watching the many little bonfires in the orchards to preserve the peach and apricot crop from frost. Mr. Phillip Haines led the Endeavor meeting in an interesting way. Mr. Barney's solo, "The Palms," was greatly enjoyed, the possibilities of his voice coming as a pleasant surprise to many. Miss Hattie Hinchliff came down for the business and social meeting of the C. E. Society held at the home of Mr. T. F. Harry. She stayed over visiting Mrs. Wilcox until Sunday afternoon when we lost sight of her. The Ladies' Aid Society gives a pie social tonight, Friday, at the Central school. A sale of pies, candy, pop corn, aprons, bonnets and handkerchiefs will be conducted. Every lady is to bring a pie to be sold at auction. A good program has been prepared.
