The show was made possible through the courtesy of the Golden Rule Store, the Sport Shoppe and the Settle Shop. Music throughout the evening was furnished by an Atwater-Kent Radio kindly furnished by the Peterson Furniture Co., and installed by John Brown. The Fashion Show opened with a parade of tiny children, whose delightfully spontaneous enjoyment of their job, as well as the pretty clothes they wore, delighted the audience. The children who took part were Ann and Jacquelin Moulton, Joanne Rowberry, Vera Beth Weidner, and Ann Ball. At the conclusion of the showing, All Ball and Jimmie Shuman sang “I Love You Truly,” their sweet treble voices blending charmingly with the accompaniment played by Mrs. Masonheimer. “What the well-dressed co-ed will wear” was cleverly demonstrated by the Misses Deneice Currie, Margaret Precht and Ellen Oberg. Then came house dresses, sports models, afternoon ensembles and sophisticated evening gowns. A beautiful array exhibited by Mesdames Edwin Colpin, Neil Fitch, Wm. Snook, T. L. Massngil, James Attebury, Harry Griggs, O. E. Johnson, and Glenn Levers. Looking at the smart dreses, coats and hats displayed, it was hard to realize that Payette is in the “wild and wolly west,” three thousand miles from New York. The program closed with two beautiful vocal numbers by Mrs. A. H. Shuman, accompanied by Mrs. Masonheimer. Refreshments were served at a table decorated with fall flowers, as was the whole room. Mrs. A. L. Pence and Mrs. Michael Harris dispensed the tea and coffee. Mrs. Vernon Patch was chairman of the refreshment committee. Cards followed the prize for pinochle going to Mrs. Otis Pence and the bridge prize to Mrs. O. E. Johnson. Many thanks to everyone who helped to make this delightful evening.
