PURITAN CLUB
 
First Anniversary of This Organization of New Plymouth
 
New Plymouth, Jan 20 (Correspondent)  The Puritan club of New Plymouth passed 
its first milestone today.  The anniversary was observed by a special meeting 
at the residence of the president, Mrs. B. P. Shawhan.
 
The organization is a fortnightly club, devoted to village improvements.  
After an hour spent in review of the work of the past year, a pleasant 
harmonious program of "hobbies" was carried out.
 
The hostess, assisted by Mrs. W. W. Wells, served an elegant luncheon.
 
Those present were Mesdames Wells, J. H. Shawhan, Burke, Burns, Ringer, Shaw, 
Compton, Lill and Misses Ewing and Stovel.
