M. C. A. of workers and others that should be workers. The new Secretary, Mr. Allison from Nebraska, will be here at that time ready to take charge of the work, and it is desired that a large turn-out will be present. We not only want to get acquainted with the New Secretary but also a little better acquainted with one another, and the Y. M. C. A. work. We have all given much of our time and money to the different branches of the war work, but let us not forget that the army Y. M. C. A. which is doing so much for our boys, would not have been even thought of only for the local Y. We must keep the local work going. Be at this reception. You will find everything in spink spank condition. When the ladies of the Y Auxiliary heard that a new secretary was coming they got a move on themselves. Not like the men usually do appoint a lot of committees and every fellow leave it to the other fellow, but they just left their own work at home, rolled up their sleeves and threw the up stair down stairs, and pushed the down stains up stairs, dumped the hole business in the basement but when they got through with the job everything was back in place clean as a wedding gown, floors scrubbed, wood work cleaned and windows shinning, curtains laundered and everything like new. This reception is not a formal affair, it is a get- together meeting. There will be a musical program and a Hoover luncheon, and a jolly good time. If you are not there, you will always wish you had been.
