J. Puchert who has the management of the Dr. Maxfield place about a mile south of Fruitland among other improvements, has recently replaced 350 apple trees. The modern method of dynamiting before setting out the young trees was resorted to. This mode of planting loosens up the ground, allowing better root development and produces a more thrifty growth. This property is well located and under the management of Mr. Purchert is bound to develop into one of the most valuable properties on the bench.
