JOHNSON The people of this city are certainly very grateful to Pete Johnson of Fruitland for his liberality in turning over a car of coal last Friday which, without any question, was the means of preventing severe suffering among the people who were out of coal. The car was billed to Mr. Johnson but he, realizing the conditions were a little worse at Payette than at Fruitland, turned it over to the City for distribution among those who were out. With the extreme cold weather that immediately followed, the generosity of Mr. Johnson was certainly appreciated.
