A crowd soon gathered and quickly applied water by the use of the private hose of the Boise-Payette Lumber Co. and also the City hose which was soon on the job. Very little damage was done. The fire was evidently started by some one who had been camping in the building as an oil stove and lantern, both still burning, were found in the building near where the fire started.
