W. Giesler has started a new industry for Payette. He has purchased six fine goats to take the place of the Jersey cow, which seems to be quite a success. The six goats combined will give considerable more milk than the average cow, and the quality of the milk has no comparison. One gallon of goat's milk will produce as much cream as four gallons of ordinary cow's milk, while the feed for one cow will keep eight goats. These little animals are quite interesting. They are regular pets and are very gentle to handle, but must be lifted to a box or stand while being milked. It is claimed that goats milk has no equal for infant children.
