The fine new Baptist church, now in course of construction for some time, is fast nearing completion. It is going to be one of that any city might be proud of. It is to be divided into three good large rooms besides a study room for the pastor. A partition will be run dividing the auditorium, which is 38x38, from the lecture room, which is 18x28. Then there will be a small room on the west side of the lecture room to be used for small gatherings. The pastor’s study will be a neat little room adjoining the lecture room and opening outward by a rear door on the west side. The auditorium and lecture room can be thrown together when there is occasion for it, making a room with a capacity for seating an extra large audience. The building itself is one of great beauty, reflecting much credit upon W. C. Noot, the architect. Mr. Noot has spent considerable time in arranging these plans, which he gave to the church entirely free of charge and has been adviser in construction from the first. He was one of those whose name was honored by being placed in the church’s corner stone. The Baptist people appreciate his work and the spirit in which it has been donated to them. They also greatly appreciate the assistance they have received outside of their membership. The Home Mission society has been very generous in helping. Mr. Dulin has received donations from his friends and well-wishers in almost every part of the United States, to the amount of $400.
