In order to emphasize their resentment at the intrusion of the law on their good time one of the Indians heaved a whiskey bottle at the officer. Fortunately the bottle missed Sater, who took his charges to jail. They appeared before Probate Judge Luther and paid $60 into the coffers of Payette county.
