Wedding Anniversary Surprise.

The whist club of which Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Boehmer are members, prepared a 
delightful surprise for Mrs. Boehmer in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Boehmer’s twenty-
fourth wedding anniversary Wednesday evening.  

Members of the club gathered at the home of Mrs. B. P. Shawhan and while Mr. 
and Mrs. Boehmer were at prayermeeting at the Presbyterian church politely took 
possession of their home.  After the meeting was closed, when they returned to 
their home Mrs. Boehmer’s surprise is easily understood at finding her parlor 
filled with friends.

Whist and music, besides delicious refreshments which where provided by the 
club, filled out the evening of enjoyment.

Mrs. Boehmer was presented with a handsome piece of cut glass
