Will Not Be Tolerated.

That the people of Payette are going to take very vigorous steps to thwart the 
plan of a certain lewd individual to conduct a house of prostitution in the 
immediate vicinity of the city was made very evident Tuesday night when a mass 
meeting was held and the matter thoroughly discussed to the end that effective 
action might be taken to suppress the evil.  It is unnecessary to comment upon 
it at length in these columns but it can be said that the mass meeting was a 
very determined gathering and that those taking part will not let the matter 
drop until they have been successful in their undertaking if there be any 
possible legitimate way in which it can be effected.
