Effie J. Adams
 
NEW PLYMOUTH - Services for Effie J. Adams, 91, of New Plymouth, were 
conducted Tuesday at Northam-Jones chapel, Weiser, by Pastors Don Shover and 
Orville Scantlin.  Interment followed in Mann Creek Cemetery.
 
Adams, who died Saturday in a Payette nursing home, was born Aug. 14, 1888 at 
Bonnie, Ill.  She moved to Thousand Springs Valley area, where she was 
educated.  She married Elvin Adams on Nov. 17, 1907, at Mann Creek.  They 
farmed in the Thousand Springs Valley until 1926.  In 1946, they moved to New 
Plymouth.
 
Surviving are a son, Elwood Adams of New Plymouth; a daughter, Mrs. James 
(Glenna) Rauert of Fruitland; two sisters, Mrs. Nola Roe of Payette and Mrs. 
Gertrude Newman of Weiser; two grandsons; and five great-grandchildren.  She 
was preceded in death by her husband, two sisters and a brother.
