He was born August 16, 1877 in Howard county, Missouri and came to Fruitland in 1918. He was a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife America Amick; two sons, Harley of Kirkman, Iowa, and Nolan of Twin Falls; four daughters, Mrs. Charles Lawson of Boise, Mrs. Milton McDonough of Weiser, Mrs. William Schlabaugh of Gilbert, Arizona and Mrs. Juanite Watts of Boise; one step-daughter, Mrs. Max Gerlack of Payette; two brothers, Chester Amick of Payette and Henry Amick in Missouri; one sister, Mrs. Shelby Smith of Portland, Ore.; and 19 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Shaffer Chapel in New Plymouth with Clyde Lacquement officiating. Interment was at Park View in New Plymouth.
