All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/id/idfiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Patty Theurer seymour784@yahoo.com November 11, 2005, 1:40 am Independent Enterprise 1936 Independent Enterprise Payette, Idaho Thursday, October 8, 1936 FORMER RESIDENT DIES IN WEISER An attendance of friends and fellow members of the Masonic order which taxed the seating capacity of the Northam funeral chapel in Weiser, together with floral tributes which completely banked the casket and pulpit, marked the burial services on Monday, October 5 for James Cyrus Anderson, whose death occurred at the Weiser hospital on last Friday evening. The service at the chapel was in charge of Rev. Robert B. Echols of St. Luke’s Episcopal church, of which Mr. Anderson was a member. The members of the local Masonic order acted as a guard of honor, and music was furnished by the Masonic quarter. At the interment in Riverside cemetery in Payette the committal service of the Episcopal church and the ritual of the Masons were read; there likewise there was a large attendance of friends. James Cyrus Anderson, known locally to his friends as “Cy”, had been a resident of Weiser since 1929, where he had served as manager of Swift and company. Previous to that time he and his family had lived for many years in Payette. Mr. Anderson was born in Taylorville, Ill. on November 27, 1893 being 42 years of age at the time of the sudden death and brief illness which caused his death. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Aldulah Anderson, and three sons, Donald, Rex and a baby boy, James Cyrus, Jr. Other living members of his immediate family are his mother, Mrs. Mary Anderson; two sisters, Mrs. Staten Moss and Miss Ruth Anderson, and two brothers, Keith and Fred Anderson, all of whom are residents of Payette. A third sister, Mrs. Charles Hauinger, is a resident of Taylorville, Ill; other brothers, J. Wheeler, Howard and Thomas R. Anderson make their homes respectively in Grants Pass, Ore., in San Luis Obispo and in San Francisco, Calif.
