She was 80 years of age. Funeral services will be held at Landon’s funeral home at 10 a. m. Saturday with the Rev. E. R. Kaemmer officiating. She will be buried beside her husband, the late Dr. O. H. Avey, in Morris Hill cemetery, Boise. Lorie Pomeroy was born Sept. 8, 1860, at Oscaloosa, Iowa, and was married there on July 15, 1880, to Oliver H. Avey. The couple then moved to Salt Lake City where Mr. Avey was school principal for several years. After study at Rush Medical college Dr. Avey and wife moved to Idaho and later in 1902 moved to Payette. Besides her daughter, Mrs. Coates, Mrs. Avey is survived by a sister, Mrs. Eunice Hannah of Oscaloosa; three brothers, Elmer W. Pomeroy and Guy S. of Fremont, Iowa, and Wm. F. of Oscaloosa, and one grandson, Robert Avey Coates of Payette. Mrs. Avey was a member of Lorraine chapter No. 20, O. E. S. and of Chapter C, P. E. O, sistserhood.
