H. Beamgard, a prominent citizen of New Plymouth, dropped dead yesterday afternoon at his home in that city from apoplexy. Mr. Beamgard was a member of the Plymouth city council and a prominent member of the Congregational church. Deceased was 72 years old and leaves his wife, one daughter and three sons. (Fruitland Banner, Friday, July 14, 1916) The funeral services and interment of the late J. H. Beamgard took place last Saturday in this city. The local order of Odd Fellows had charge and Rev. H. F. Knight, conducted the funeral services which were held from the Congregational church. Quite a number of the members of the Odd Fellows lodge at Payette motored up to pay their last respects to their departed brother. The business houses of this city closed Saturday afternoon until after the funeral.
