W. C. Beamguard Services Held
 
Services for William Clark Beamguard, 73, a retired Payette dry cleaning plant 
owner and operator who began his work in this city more than 40 years ago, 
were held Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Leonard Clark officiating.
 
Mr. Beamguard was born Aug. 5, 1887, in Brown County, Kan. moved from Weiser 
to Payette in 1925 when he began his work in the dry cleaning business.  He 
was married to Vinnie Hawkinson in Boise in July 1925.
 
He was a member and past master of Washoe Lodge No 28, A.F.&A.M., a member of 
Lorraine chapter, Order of Eastern Star in Payette, and a member of the 
Payette First Methodist church.  When the Payette city band was organized in 
the 1920's he was one of its most faithful members and participated in its 
activities until shortly before his death.
 
Mr. Beamguard died at 512 Franklin Park in Boise following an apparent heart 
attack, it was reported.  The Whitney Fire Department, Boise, was called with 
a resuscitator, but he was pronounced dead by an attending physician of Boise 
after resuscitation attempts had been made.
 
Survivors in addition to his wife, Vinnie, include a son, William of Bellevue, 
Wash.; two daughters, Mrs. Kenneth DeWitz of Wenatchee, Wash., and Mrs. George 
S. Sanford of Boise; a brother, Frank Beamguard of Ventura, Calif., and eight 
grandchildren.
 
Following the services in the Methodist church, Washoe Lodge No. 28 A.F.&A.M. 
performed fraternal honors at the graveside in Rosedale Memorial Park, Payette.
