Dr. V. V. Belknap
 
Dr. V. V. Belknap, 86, Payette, a retired dentist, died Nov. 21, 1992, in 
Payette.  Private family services were Nov. 24 at St. James Episcopal Church, 
Payette, under the direction of Shaffer-Jensen Memory Chapel, Payette.
 
He was born June 13, 1906, in Prairie City, a son of Oregon pioneers.  He 
attended the College of Idaho for one year, then continued his formal 
education at Oregon State University where he graduated.  He was a graduate of 
Northwest Pacific School of Dentistry.  He married Alberta Edwards Dec. 28, 
1929, in Bellingham, Wash.  In 1931 they moved to Payette where he began his 
dental practice which spanned over 50 years.  They have resided in Payette for 
61 years.
 
He was a life-long member of the Episcopal Church.  His affiliations include 
Alpha Tau Omega, Delta Sigma Delta Dental Fraternity, Washoe Lodge #28, the 
Masonic Lodge (A.F. & A.M.), York Rite and Scottish Rite bodies, El Korah 
Shrine Temple, and the Royal Order of Jesters.
 
Survivors include his wife, Alberta of Payette; four sons, Robert E. Belknap 
of Whittier, Calif., Thomas V. Belknap of Ontario, James M. Belknap of 
Caldwell, and Daniel R. Belknap of Payette; two daughters, Barbara A. Belknap 
of Boise, and Mary K. Lamm of Payette, and their families, and two sisters, 
Janis Johnson of Ontario, and Carol Belknap of Fresno, Calif.  He was preceded 
in death by his father, Dr. V. C. Belknap of Nampa, and his mother, Clara 
Jeanette Belknap, as well as his brother, Dr. Roderick R. Belknap of Ontario.

83661 or Shriners Children Hospital, 3101 S.W. Sam Jackson Park Rd., Portland,
