The dead body of Ole Berg was found about dusk Tuesday evening at the head of 
Deep Gulch, about two miles from Pearl.  It is believed the dead man committed 
suicide.  Monday morning he went out, taking a six-shooter and a shotgun, 
saying he was going hunting and would be back by noon.  Nothing more was seen 
of him until the body was found.  The shotgun was lying beside the corpse. It 
is understood the death was caused by shooting.
