Leonard Reifel of St. John's United Church of Christ, Payette. Interment was in Riverside Cemetery, Payette. Bigelow, who died Wednesday in a Boise hospital, was born Aug. 20, 1911 in Gilmore, Iowa and moved to Payette in 1928. He married Gwen Wisner on Jan. 31, 1937 in Caldwell. He served in the U.S. Navy in WW II. He was in the wholesale gas business for Continental and Sinclair Oil companies in Parma and Payette. He had owned a menswear store in Payette and an oil station in Jordan Valley. He had been assistant manager of the Merc in Ontario and had worked for Hale's in Payette. He moved in 1974, to Phoenix, Ariz., where he was in the glass business. His wife died in 1978. He married Florence Lattig on Dec. 23, 1978, and they lived in Mountain Home. He was a member of the Payette First United Methodist church and the Elks Club No. 1690 of Ontario, and was past commander of the Payette American Legion. Surviving are his wife of Mountain Home; a son, Bruce of Nampa; a daughter, Marsi Hale of Phoenix, Ariz; two brothers, Arch and Byron, both of New Plymouth; a stepson, Pete Lattig, and a step daughter, Nedra Downs, and three grandchildren.
